Deleted scene 1: A much-talked about scene in the film was the robbery scene. This, critics claim, is inspired by the movie ‘How to Steal a Million’ starring Peter O'toole and Audrey Hepburn. The scene, involving Rajinikanth and Anushka,happens inside a room.While Rajinikanth tries to get the keys outside the room using magnets (cited to be a copy from the above mentioned film), he asks Anushka to make markings on the door. This part of the robbery scene has been removed. 


 Deleted scene 2: The scene in which a poet sings flattery poems about Rajinikanth hoping to get costly gifts has been deleted. 

Deleted scene 3: During the flashback sequence involving Lingaa's grandfather (Raja Lingeshwaran) also played by Rajinikanth himself, the scene where Sonakshi Sinha keeps a trap to punish the mathematics teacher who had punished the class children by beating them up, and Rajinikanth falls prey to it has been removed. 

 Deleted scene 4: Sonakshi Sinha spills coffee on the drawings of the dam accidentally has been removed. 

Deleted scene 5: Long arrival of guests at the birthday party of Rajinikanth in the palace has been deleted. 

 Deleted scene 6: The most important scene which has been deleted is part of the climax sequence, which would certainly make Rajinikanth fans happy. Those who have seen the movie with this scene would certainly understand why it is called the most important scene. The climax part involving a hot air balloon has Rajinikanth riding a bike and jumping on to the balloon, while riding off a cliff with the bike.
